The RESTORE Model Framework
The Full Story
The RESTORE Model for Relational Trauma Recovery is a trauma-informed framework created to help individuals and clinicians better understand the impact of relational trauma and the process of healing.
Relational trauma can disrupt safety, trust, emotional regulation, identity, and connection in lasting ways. This framework was developed to offer language, structure, and insight for experiences that often feel confusing, painful, and difficult to explain.
The RESTORE Model for Relational Trauma Recovery is intended to support greater clarity, compassion, and direction in the healing process. It offers a practical and thoughtful way to make sense of relational injury, honor its effects, and move toward recovery with greater steadiness and understanding.
Created by Melissa E. Santana, MS, LMHC, Qualified Supervisor, this work reflects an ongoing commitment to relational trauma education, healing, and clinician training.
